Now preparing for its 19th season, Hawaii Performing Arts Festival brings some of the most talented young musicians from Hawaii, the U.S., Canada, Australia, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, South America, and Europe to Hawaii Island each summer for intensive study and performance training, affording young artists the opportunity perform with professional musicians under the guidance of some of the world’s most established teachers and mentors. The results are astonishing.

During the 2022 Summer Festival, more than 20 concerts and staged performances were presented, giving the students invaluable experience and the privilege of appearing on stage with some of the top musical artists in their field. All performances were produced at various venues around the Big Island. In the fall, winter, and spring months, HPAF offers special performances to help support scholarships for aspiring young artists to attend the festival each summer. Previous high season performances have included Jake Shimabukuro, Ofra Harnoy, Stanford University’s Fleet Street Singers, and An Evening at the Stork Club — an HPAF original production.
