Storytelling with the Piano

How to communicate to audiences with our most authentic selves.

  • 179 US dollars
  • Honolulu

Service Description

Instrumentalists are often at a disadvantage compared with vocalists because their music rarely comes with a road map. Vocalists are afforded text, a poem, or a story. This helps shape and communicate their approach as they try to communicate directly with audiences. How can we, as pianists, learn from this? What stories were the composers trying to tell? We explore this type of storytelling, and become our own movie directors in our minds as we communicate to our audience.
